1993 :: Research Cells activated. Emphasis given on HSR. :: A WHO Short Term Consultant was attached to BMRC. :: Workshop on Health Systems Research (HSR) conducted. :: Community Health Research Centre (CHRC) established in Modhupur, Tangail.

1994 :: HSR unit established in BMRC. Publication of News Letter

1995 :: Health Systems Research (HSR) included in WHO Programme on Research Promotion and Development (RPD) :: Establishment of National Retrieval System on Health Research Establishment of MEDLINE Literature Search Service

1996 Publication of "Bibliography of Research Results"

1997 WHO Programme renamed as Health Systems Research (HSR) Programme

1998 BMRC has been awarded the prestigious WHO 50th Anniversary Primary Health Care Development Award
